Biography

Edward J. Ajaeb, CLI is an experienced professional investigator, researcher, business owner, author, and national speaker specializing in legal investigations, due diligence, background checks, social media and online investigations, public records research, and open source intelligence.

Ajaeb is the founder and president of Nighthawk Strategies and a Certified Legal Investigator, awarded by the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI). Ajaeb has successfully conducted thousands of investigations both nationally and globally for clients who rank among the largest law firms, companies, and nonprofit organizations in the world.

As a former U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Paralegal in Washington D.C., Ajaeb received an Award of Distinction from the Assistant Attorney General of the United States for his work on several major antitrust investigations and litigation matters.

Ajaeb has been featured in Forbes, NBC, CBS, U.S. News & World Report, PI Magazine, Security Today, and other acclaimed media outlets, magazines, and podcasts. He has presented at numerous international conferences on the topics of social media investigations, online intelligence, and advanced investigative techniques. He has also been a contributor to two books: Protection of Assets and Art of Investigation Revisited

Ajaeb serves as the current President of the National Council of Investigation and Security Services (NCISS) and former Director of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP). He is a Life Member of the Society of Professional Investigators (SPI) and a member of the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI), the World Association of Detectives (WAD), the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA), ASIS International, and numerous other investigative, legal, and business organizations.
